Here comes the great festival of lights once again, in all it's splendour, colour and taste. The time for the tongue to make merry, the eyes to feast and the ears to work overtime hearing all types of crackling noises! :-) The time for new clothes, new ornaments and celebration!
Even while everybody is enjoying this festive ocassion there is a thought that does not escape - There are still so many people out there waiting to live life in its true form. There is still so much poverty in this country. The number of accidents is going higher each year. Needless conflicts and rifts are damaging lives and property. The recent financial slowdown has imposed its own set of challenges that need to be dealt with. In the midst of all this, we wish our family and friends a Happy Diwali.
How ironic. Or is it?
Indeed this Diwali needs to bring happiness and help our world become a better place to live for everyone. Deepawali truly needs to enlighten us and help all of us to think right, act right, take the right decisions at the right time. Or else the time to act would pass. Truly, may this Diwali make everyone's life happier, easier and brighter.
